On December 27, 2019, Royal Decree 732/2019, of December 20, was published in the BOE, by which The Technical Building Code is modified, Spanish regulatory framework since 2006, approved by Royal Decree 314/2006, of March 17.
The entry into force of the Royal Decree occurred the day after the official publication, this is since December 28, 2019 and a voluntary application period of 6 months is established. being your mandatory application in works for which a license is requested as of June 28, 2020.
The changes made can be summarized in the following points:
- The basic document DB-HS “Healthiness” It now has 6 sections, incorporating a new requirement for protection against radon gas.
- The most important change is the modification of the DB-HE “Energy Saving”, establishing new requirements and expanding the scope of application of each of the sections. The content on its application in existing buildings is expanded.
- have been introduced specific modifications in the basic document DB-SI “Fire Safety” in section SI 2 of “Exterior propagation” to specify the conditions of the materials in relation to the reaction to fire and its spread, and the normative references that have been changing in recent years are updated.
- The Royal Decree updates the technical standards referenced in all the Basic Documents except the basic documents DB-SE- AE “Actions in Building” and DB-SE- A “Steel”.
Thus have been modified on the page Ministry of Development website Part I of the Technical Code and all affected Basic Documents. New versions of the documents have been published, with the indicated modifications and comments.
As a result of regulatory approval, the following Supporting Documents have also been modified:
- DA DB-SUA/3 “Slippery of floors”
- DA DB-HR/1 “Guide for use of acoustic insulation magnitudes in relation to requirements”
In addition, a new DA Support Document DB-HR/2 “Indirect transmission calculation procedure” has been published.
