North Korean “Hackers” accused of attempting to steal data on the Oxford and AstraZenec vaccine

In the midst of pre-Christmas, where we have replaced the noise blower with the mask, the race for the coronavirus vaccine is a priority for all governments and although there are many companies that are investigating, some are closer than others to achieving it, such as the pharmaceutical AstraZenec.

Well, as I would say Allison Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy, “The rumor runs…” that some < > North Koreans have tried to access the computer systems of oxford and the British pharmaceutical company AstraZenec, presumably to steal information about his development of the coronavirus vaccine. COVID-19.

According to the international news agency Reuters, cybercriminals posed as “talent scouts” or as I say, HR staff contacting through LinkedIn and WhatsApp with a large number of people, most of them staff working on vaccine research.

Once the first contact was made, they sent emails to those interested about the “supposed” jobs they offered with malware including, of course, for the purpose of infecting their computers and stealing any information they could about the vaccine.

I already said it in this article, malware grows and multiplies in times of COVID-19

Well, they attribute the attack to North Korea since “the forms” are similar to other cyberattacks suffered against the United States and although some email addresses are in the Russian domain, it is thought that it is possibly a ruse to mislead and try to implicate the Russians.

And speaking of Russians, in mid-July the United Kingdom accused some < > Russians of trying to steal data about the vaccine, authorities attributed the attack to the group APT29, known as Cozy Bear, who is considered linked to the Russian intelligence services.

As we see, this is not the first time that Oxford has received an attack on its systems in search of information about its vaccine and the need to put an end to this pandemic and trying to produce and distribute it in its country has caused many nations to explore their dark side instead of trying to fix their political tensions and collaborate with each other.
