How to provide added value on Linkedin

Get the most out of your profile!

Don't miss the opportunity to show your professional network all your potential. LinkedIn allows you to add links and multimedia files with which to show the content that will position you as an ideal candidate.

How to do it?

It's simple, you just have to go to your LinkedIn profile and in the professional experience section click on the pencil to edit the information that interests you. You will have the option to click on the + sign to add Multimedia Content; Add or link external documents, photos, sites, presentations and videos.

Stand out from your competitors!

What type of documents will it allow you to upload?

You can enhance your LinkedIn experience by adding and sharing media samples. The following file formats are supported for media samples:

  • Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx)
  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • .jpg/.jpeg
  • .png
  • .gif: Not supported in profile or background photos.

Keep the following aspects in mind:

  • The file size cannot exceed 100 MB.
  • The page limit is 300 pages.
  • The word count limit is one million words.
  • The maximum resolution of the images is 36 megapixels.

Samples of your skills and files with your work can add value to your profile and increase your visibility.

What content will you be able to share?

With this tool you will get a great way to provide proof of your skills and experience.

You can submit your best work samples, such as:

  • LinkedIn posts you've created or reshared.
  • Articles you have written and published on LinkedIn.
  • Links to external websites, for example your blog or personal portfolio.
  • Own content portfolio.
  • Image gallery with content you have created.
  • Documents of your own creation that represent your work.
  • Own presentations created on digital platforms (For example genially)
  • Video content, for example you can include a short video briefly explaining the functions you performed in that job.

These are just ideas, start your creativity and look for interesting content that you can share to make your profile very attractive.

In a previous post we discussed the possibility of uploading an audio to your LinkedIn profile:

LinkedIn advises that to protect the privacy of other LinkedIn members, you cannot include posts from LinkedIn Events you attend or groups you are a part of.

Now you know another trick to improve your competitiveness in the professional social network par excellence, don't miss this opportunity!
