Once again, the HR consultant Hays Group offers the “Labor Market Guide 2021” where it analyzes salary trends in different sectors and positions in Spain.
This is field work through surveys carried out throughout the year with more than 1,000 companies and more than 2,000 employed and unemployed workers (managers and HR professionals).
The purpose of this study is to know the dynamism of the Spanish labor market as well as the trends that are occurring in it with respect to the sectors that will generate more employment and the average salaries for different positions.
By analyzing this guide, we intend to examine certain aspects related to salary and organizational trends in the HR sector as well as the most in-demand profiles.
The “2021 Labor Market Guide” Hays Group breaks down the salary analysis according to whether they are SMEs, large companies and generalist profiles, by geographical location (Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Seville and Valencia) and by positions (HR Director , Chief of Staff, HR Technician, etc.).
The HR Management profile of a large company in Barcelona with more than 10 years of experience is assigned a salary of €135,660. A similar position in Seville has a salary of €70,890. A variation of more than €64,770 difference depending on where the same work is carried out.
HR Director Large Company
This same HR Management profile in an SME in Barcelona and Madrid with more than 10 years of experience has an assigned salary of €72,500. A similar position in Seville has a salary of €48,450. A variation of more than €24,050 difference depending on the geographical location of the company.
SME HR Director
Among the general HR profiles studied, the HR Business Partner (HR Internal Business Partner) is the one with the highest salary assigned. With more than 5 years of experience in Barcelona, he has a salary of €68,340 while in Seville the fixed remuneration is €44,880.
HR Business Partner
A versatile and multifunctional Generalist HR Technician (labor relations, selection, training, PRL, etc.) with more than 5 years of experience in Madrid has a salary of €41,500. In contrast, in Seville the linked salary is only €29,580.
Generalist HR Technician
A Payroll Technician in charge of the administrative management of payrollmines, social insurance and contracts among other tasks, with More than 5 years of experience in Barcelona has a salary of €33,130. In Seville the linked salary is €23,460.
Payroll Technician
A Recruitment Technician whose responsibility is to provide any company with the necessary personnel, with the necessary skills at the exact moment, with more than 5 years of experience in Madrid, has a salary of €30,000. In Seville the linked salary is €18,360.
Selection Technician
As can be inferred from the analysis of some positions linked to the HR sector presented in the “2021 Labor Market Guide”, depending on experience, company size and geographical location, the salary variation for a same position is usually wide.
Among smaller cities such as Seville, Bilbao and Valencia the salary difference between positions is less significant. If we compare the emoluments set in these cities with respect to Madrid and Barcelona, the differences are highly considerable, especially in positions of greater responsibility.
The "Labor Market Guide 2021” Hays Group also shows that within the HR sector the most requested profiles will be the Labor Relations Manager, ORP Manager, HR Plan Manager and HR Analytics. All of this in a pandemic context where personnel management must implement a new “blended” management model between office and teleworking, as well as a new performance evaluation system.
