Morbegno, a small city in the Italian Alps, in the Lombardy region and very close to the border with Switzerland, is going to install smart city technologies in the management of its public lighting and municipal buildings, along with the creation of a calls 24 hours a day. Remote control solutions for lighting and photovoltaic systems will be applied in municipal facilities, with a total capacity of 45 kWp.
For this project, with a budget of 2.63 million euros, the City Council will have the services of Bosch Energy and Building Solutions Italy, a company that will install LED technology in all public lighting and in the interior lighting systems of municipal buildings, will improve municipal heating systems while continuing to maintain the existing district heating network, will install fire detection systems and warning signs warning in all municipal buildings, in line with current standards, and new public lighting systems will be deployed within the scope of the “Progetto Parchi Sicuri 2017” (2017 Safe Parks Project).
