He Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda (Minetad) has increased by 78 million euros the initial allocation of 125.6 million euros of the Aid Program for the Rehabilitation of Buildings, PAREER II. The application for aid to this program was opened on February 3 and in just one week the funds were exhausted after receiving around 500 applications.
Although the funds were exhausted ahead of schedule, the IDAE has continued to accept the entry of applications, which have been reserved and can now be processed thanks to the approved budget extension.
Eligible actions
The actions eligible to receive PAREER II aid are those that achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions and the final energy consumption of buildings, by improving energy efficiency in one or more of the following typologies:
- Improving the energy efficiency of the thermal envelope.
- Improving the energy efficiency of thermal and lighting installations.
- Replacement of conventional energy with solar thermal energy.
- Replacing conventional energy with geothermal energy.
