The Government of Costa Rica launched this Sunday the National Decarbonization Plan, which seeks to abolish the use of fossil fuels by 2050 and promote the use of clean energy to combat climate change.
“This is the great challenge of our generation. It is a commitment that we assume as a Government but in which we must all participate. Climate change is the main challenge for the next 30 years, global warming is the main threat for the country, the region and the world,” said the president of Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado.
