Reviewing the draft of DB HE 2.018 we can launch the following headline for residential-type buildings:
In almost zero consumption buildings [nZEB], 50% of primary energy consumption must be of renewable origin.
On the other hand, sections HE-4 and HE-5 become more flexible and solar energy no longer has the “monopoly” of renewables, giving way to other technologies such as aerothermal, hydrothermal, geothermal, biomass,…
As proof of this, both sections are renamed; The HE-4 is renamed < > and the HE-5 is renamed < >.
Analyzing the new HE-4, in which we are told what percentage of the DHW demand must be covered with renewable energies, we see that with the regulatory change we go from a variable percentage of 30%-70% depending on the climatic zone to a fixed percentage of 50%.
With the DB HE 2.013, the renewable energy used to cover the DHW demand is initially only of solar origin, however, with the new DB HE 2.018 we can use other energy sources of renewable origin.
Throughout this year 2,109 we will be in different cities with our WorkShop on nZEB, you are all invited.
