NEARLY ZERO CONSUMPTION BUILDINGS AND ENERGY POVERTY

In 2014, a maximum was reached in the percentage of Spanish families that did not have the purchasing power to turn on the air conditioning [11.1 %] and currently we find values from the year 2007 [8.3%].
This situation is defined with the term < > which occurs in households unable to pay for a sufficient amount of energy to satisfy their domestic needs and/or when they are forced to allocate an excessive part of their income to pay your home's energy bill

Now we ask ourselves the following question:
What can nearly zero energy buildings [nZEB] do to eradicate this situation?
Initially we will refresh the nZEB definition:
Building with a very high level of energy efficiency in which the almost zero or very low amount of energy required should be covered, to a very large extent, by energy from renewable sources
Consequently, nZEBs not only come to solve [GHG] pollution problems by improving the health of the inhabitants, but also to improve the real estate stock and, in this way, promote the comfort of the inhabitants, increase their purchasing power (at reducing heating costs) and eliminating energy poverty for the most disadvantaged inhabitants.
Finally we conclude with the following question:
What difference exists in terms of energy, between a home built under the 2013 regulations and one built in 2019 under the nZEB standard?
We can anticipate that it will consume 38% less primary energy and 50% of what it consumes will be of renewable origin.
Throughout this year 2,109 we will be in different cities nationwide, you are all invited.
