THE ANONYMOUS CURRICULUM

I am not saying anything new if I say that we find ourselves in a world that is constantly changing, changes that are increasingly rapid and unpredictable, changes that affect society and, of course, the companies in which we spend a large part of our lives.

One of the great consequences of these changes for our companies is how the concept or perception towards the worker has changed, that increasingly valued internal client, as it should be, changing the concept of Human Resources Management to that of Talent Management and how companies have to be able to attract the talent they need.

It is no longer a matter of publishing an offer and waiting to see what comes to us, but there has been a change in search roles. It is not the professionals who offer themselves to companies, but rather the companies that have to compete with other companies to be the desired place to work for the best professionals.

But, furthermore, if we really want to have the best talents within our organizations, we must be able to eliminate, as much as possible, those biases that, by the simple fact of being human in some cases and, other times, more consciously, make us They prevent objective evaluations when making a good selection.

Today there is talk about how the application of Big Data and other technical progress to the world of Talent Management will allow us to make much more objective selections based on real data, which will allow us to select the best.

But, honestly, I believe that Talent Management professionals and, in general, anyone who manages a company, regardless of its size, can start by applying much simpler methods such as the use of Anonymous Curriculums, where no data appears. candidates' personnel, but only those data with which to demonstrate their experience, their skills and abilities, in short the data that really interests us to know if that person is ideal for the job we intend to fill or for our company.

There are several organizations that, in the interests of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, are developing projects in this regard. One of them is the “Project for the Design, Implementation and Assessment of an Anonymous Curriculum Vitae Project for Personnel Selection” of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, through the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities. . Large leading companies in everything related to Talent Management such as IKEA, Repsol SA, Mahou SA, are already part of this project, there must be a reason, right?
