Since last November, a new self-calculation service for the Regulatory Base of the retirement pension has been available at the Social Security Electronic Headquarters, in the Citizens, Pensions section.
In order to use this service, it can be accessed without a digital certificate by anyone, although it is mainly aimed at professionals familiar with the legal regime of the retirement pension who must carry out different calculations to obtain an updated regulatory base and subsequently apply the percentages corresponding to each retirement modality to provide advice to your client.
What data do we need to obtain the regulatory base?
In order to obtain the amount of the regulatory base, we only have to enter personal data such as name and surname, retirement date, select the new or previous applicable regulations, and past and future contribution bases.
What advantages does this service offer us?
The main advantage that this new service offers us is the automatic updating of the contribution bases, since when calculating the regulatory base of the pension, the last 24 months are taken the contributed bases for their nominal value without updating, and from From the 25th to the 300th month, they will be updated according to the evolution of the CPI, a task that without this type of tools is very tedious and complex to be able to carry out a correct calculation of the regulatory base.
What should we consider?
Another issue to consider is the integration of gaps, that is, those periods in which there has been no contribution obligation, the first 48 monthly payments will be completed with minimum contribution bases and the following with the 50% of the minimum bases, but this will depend on the Social Security Regime for which we are calculating the regulatory base; another reason that shows that this tool is mainly aimed at those familiar with the legal pension regime.
Let us also remember that with the new retirement pension regulations introduced by the Law 27/2011, of August 1, on updating, adaptation and modernization of the Social Security system, not only raises the ordinary retirement age in 2022 to 66 years and 2 months, or alternatively 65 years proving 37 years and 6 months or more contributions, but also changes the calculation of the regulatory base using the last 300 contribution bases and dividing them by 350.
How to make the query?
Let's see below the steps to follow to correctly use the self-calculation service of the retirement pension regulatory base:
- Entering personal data
- Introduction of past contribution bases.
The entire previous period necessary for the previous contribution bases to be manually incorporated will appear. To facilitate this step, if you have contribution bases for the same amount and a continuous period, the period and the base, minimum, maximum or personalized, can be automatically entered.
Information on past contribution bases can be obtained from the Social Security Electronic Headquarters, citizen option, reports and certificates, contribution base report.
- Future contribution bases.
In the same way that past contribution bases are entered, contribution bases for the remaining period until reaching the retirement date can be added.
- Confirmation and result.
As a result we will obtain the calculated regulatory base and the table with all the contribution bases entered, the update index and the updated contribution bases.
Is there any other option? Alternatively, we have another service that directly offers the final amount of the retirement benefit, this is found in the option “Your Social Security", but to access a digital certificate is required from the interested person, or from the representative after confirmation via SMS of the representation.
