Quota 0 for new self-employed workers in Andalusia

Next year, changes are coming in the quota of the self-employed who will begin to contribute based on their income according to some sections established by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration. In this post that we published a few months ago we indicated some of the keys to the new self-employed quotas:

Recently the Government of Andalusia, through the Department of Employment and Self-Employment, has reported that the zero quota will be implemented that will provide a bonus for the first 2 years of activity for new self-employed workers who register in the Andalusian community. .

In the Autonomous Community of Andalusia it will be implemented since January from 2023 the zero quota for new freelancers the first year, and the second also for those who do not have net returns higher than the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI).

What are the requirements for the zero quota for self-employed workers in Andalusia?

  • Self-employed persons who benefit from the state flat rate as of January 1, 2023.
  • Not having been registered as self-employed in the last two years.
  • Not be self-employed or multi-active collaborator.
  • Not have outstanding accounts with the Treasury or Social Security.

In addition, self-employed workers who do not exceed monthly income equivalent to the SMI may benefit from this aid in the second year.

As indicated by the president of the National Federation of Self-Employed Workers Associations (ATA), Lorenzo Amor, this measure will benefit 50,000 new workers  on its own account of the territory. Another positive aspect of this measure is that the amount of aid will be advanced so that self-employed workers can pay social security contributions at no cost.

Along these lines, to defend the interests of the autonomous group, the Andalusian Council of Self-Employed Work (CATA),  a collegiate body that will bring together representatives of the different ministries of the Andalusian Government, professional associations of the self-employed, business and union organizations and the Andalusian municipalities to facilitate the right of institutional participation of the group when designing policies and approving them. of plans and measures aimed at this group.

What are the main competencies of CATA?

It will issue a mandatory report on the draft Strategic Plan for Self-Employed Work, the draft laws to modify the Andalusian law on the Promotion of Self-Employed Work and the regulatory regulations of the Andalusian Distinction for Self-Employed Work of Excellence, as well as issue reports on draft laws. that affect self-employment among other skills.

We see how the Andalusian executive has focused on a very important group for the economic and business fabric of the territory.
