Internship of Alejandra Vanessa Vega Chirino (URJC-Mainfor Biomass Program). Our student from the higher university program in international biomass project management, Alejandra Vanessa Vega Chirino, is doing her internship (professional internship) at the National University of Santander (Colombia).
In your internship you will be able to carry out research activities related to anaerobic digestion in the biotechnology laboratory of that university.
Let us remember that anaerobic digestion is a fundamental process in obtaining sustainable gaseous biofuels since through this process we can use microorganisms to decompose biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. This process generates various gases, among which carbon dioxide and methane are the most abundant. We all know the energetic properties of the latter.
In the photograph we can see Alejandra with Dr. Liliana Castro Molano, her internship tutor. We wish Alejandra that the experience is enriching for her professional future.
