He BOE published on January 28, a Royal decree law by which companies such as electricity companies or telecommunications companies must have a responsible for Cybersecurity, specifically an Information Security Manager (ISR).
In the Royal Decree we can read in article 7, “The person responsible for information security will act as a point of contact with the competent authority.” regarding supervision of the security requirements of networks and information systems, and as a specialized point of contact for the coordination of incident management with the reference CSIRT”
The RSI, among other functions, must prepare the security politics to prevent and minimize the effects of cybercriminals.
The Royal Decree also indicates that companies have the obligation to provide the RSI with sufficient means and resources to carry out its functions effectively and implement security policies.
