How to request courtesy days from the Tax Agency?

During the month of August a good part of the Spanish population is enjoying some well-deserved vacation, after a year of hard work and a lot of effort.

To carry out the summer more calmly, the Tax agency offers us an option to order courtesy days and thus spend a period of time without receiving notifications from said organization.

What are courtesy days?

When we receive a AEAT notification, have 10 calendar days  to sign it and notify us. If this period of 10 days passes and we have not seen the notification, we are not exempt from the consequences Of the same. That is why many businesses go on vacation knowing that important notifications may arrive that require action and that inevitably generates uncertainty and discomfort during the vacation period.

Due to this, the Tax Agency allows us to choose a 30 day courtesy period  in each calendar year, to not receive notifications from the aforementioned administration.

What do I have to do to request courtesy days at the AEAT?

First of all, we must be registered with the DEH (Enabled Electronic Address) and have subscribed to the procedures available at the Tax Agency for receiving notifications.

Courtesy days must be requested at least 7 calendar days in advance of the beginning of the desired period.

These are the steps to follow:

  1. We access the electronic headquarters of the AEAT.
  2. Once inside we have to access the “My notifications” portal.
  3. We click on the link “Request days on which notifications will not be posted to the Enabled Electronic Address” from the “Subscriptions, applications and other inquiries” section.
  4. It will ask us to access with our digital certificate, electronic DNI or PIN code.
  5. Once inside, it will appear an annual calendar and we will have to select the dates on which it is not good for us to receive notifications. We have to select Saturday and Sunday as well.
  6. We have to press the “modify” option and select the desired days. Then we will have to click on the “validate” option and finally in “sign and send”.
  7. Finally, a request receipt with a CSV code of 16 characters and the calendar with the selected and updated courtesy days, as well as the date and time of the request.

How can we register in the Enabled Electronic Address (DEH)?

We can register with a certificate or electronic ID, subscribe to the corresponding procedures and review your notification mailbox from the portal of the Electronic Address Enabled (DEH)

In a few simple steps we can register and activate the receipt of notifications.

The business community also deserves to enjoy the summer to regain strength and recharge its batteries and the AEAT makes it a little easier for us with these courtesy days, take advantage and guarantee a few days of peace of mind in notifications!
