AUDIT/CYBER COMPLIANCE

Description:

In the context of globalization, more and more companies outside the EU/EEA are offering goods and/or services to European citizens. This phenomenon, driven by digitalization and global interconnection, has led to an increase in the exchange of personal data across borders.

All of these companies, regardless of their geographic location, must comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). One of the most important, and often overlooked, obligations is the appointment of a Data Protection Representative (DPR). This representative acts as a liaison between the company, the Data Protection Authorities, and the individuals whose data is being processed, facilitating communication and cooperation between the parties.

This figure is essential to ensure effective communication with Data Protection Authorities and individuals.

Goals:

Understand the criteria for appointing a DPO.
Know the three main obligations of the RPD.
Understand in depth the procedure for designating a DPO and the consequences of not designating one.
