Internships in the Higher University Biomass Program (Jairo Conesa at UTE Urbaser-FCC) taught by Mainfor and the URJC. Our student Jairo Conesa begins his professional internship at the UTE Legio VII, formed by Urbaser and Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC). This UTE manages urban solid waste (MSW) generated in the province of León.
Its facilities, one of the most modern Environmental Complexes in Europe, have biodigesters that are capable of generating the 30% of biogas needed by the cogeneration plant that the complex has. The rest of the biogas comes from the degassing of the organic waste landfill itself. The cogeneration plant is capable of supplying the electrical and thermal energy needs of the complex, as well as pouring part of the electrical energy generated into the local distribution network. An example of efficiency and environmental commitment.
Jairo will design a ballistic separator system and optical sensors that will undoubtedly further improve the plant's performance. We congratulate the plant managers, in particular its boss Oscar López Alonso, for the good management carried out and their high vision in terms of their commitment to achieving the greatest possible efficiency for the Environmental Center.
