The Social Security changed its computer program (SILTRA) to pay employee contributions in 2016, but The program has a serious flaw. At least this is what emerges from a novel ruling by the Contentious-Administrative Courts of Madrid, which for the first time have upheld the complaint of a company to which Social Security charged undue surcharges due to this new program. The ruling is from last January 9, and it agrees with a book publisher that suffered an excessive surcharge.
The judge adds that "The problem has been caused by the Administration itselfTherefore, although it is true that this can change the settlement and contribution system, it cannot require the employer to make up for his inactivity.
This sentence is a success for the Administration of Justice, because this error could have affected many other companies that have been improperly charged, and now have the door open to appeal.
