'High temperature solar thermal energy'
Parabolic trough collectors are solar collectors capable of concentrating solar radiant energy on a pipe through which a fluid circulates. The amount of energy captured is so high that the fluid can reach temperatures above 300ºC, and thanks to these high temperatures, steam is produced that, when passed through a turbine, generates electricity.
