The great Spanish entrepreneurial women who studied Business Management

What better reason than March 8, Women's Day, to talk about successful women entrepreneurs in our country. And although it is still not easy for many women to access positions of high responsibility, others have been capable of anything after founding their own successful company.

Today we present to you some of the entrepreneurial women who have managed to break through the glass ceiling and carve out a niche for themselves among the Spanish business elite. These are some of the great Spanish entrepreneurial women.

Lupina Iturriaga

Nowadays, we all know the app Fintonic. This application offers loans to its users as well as an advisory service and monitoring of their accounts. Lupina Iturriaga founded Fintonic hayá in 2012. Now, 8 years later, Fintonic invoices around 1 million euros each year.

The CEO and founder of Fintonic studied Business Administration and Management at a private university center and later completed a master in finance.

Mireia Badia

Mireia studied Business Management and specialized in International Business at the University of Dublin. After completing his university internship, he worked at the ING Direct bank. His experience led him, in 2013, to found Grow.ly, the largest crowdlending platform. Grow.ly offers the possibility of connecting projects that need financing and users who want to make their savings profitable.

Mireia Badia won the award for female entrepreneur of the year at the Fintech Awards 2019 and the Forbes 30 Under 30 as a young entrepreneur among a long list of international recognitions.

Marta Plana

Marta Plana is a Spanish businesswoman and politician with a long history of senior management positions under her belt. She is also the founder of Digital Origin, the online financial services platform.

After graduating in Law from the University of Barcelona, he studied a master's degree in Business Management in Navarra.

Laurence Fontinoy

Laurence Fontinoy worked as Marketing Director in companies such as eBay or Google. She is known for founding Woom, a fertility app that helps women conceive.

After obtaining his bachelor's degree, Laurence Fontinoy also studied different aspects of business management in Spain and the United States. Today, with more than 20 years of experience in management positions, Laurence is one of the great references for Spanish women entrepreneurs.

Elena Betes

Elena Betés completed a master's degree in financial studies. This, among other fields of her extensive academic training, led her to have extensive knowledge of the market that she used to found Tracker. This application offers a service as an insurance comparator that has earned its founder great recognition. Among them is the Business Woman of the Year Award by FEDEPE and the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
