In construction, they are usually used <strong>two classes<\/strong> different types of polystyrene as insulating material: expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Polystyrene<\/strong> expanded<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Commonly known as \u201cPorexp\u00e1n\u201d, it is marketed in the form of <strong>rigid foam boards<\/strong>, in a wide range of dimensions and thicknesses. This offers a <strong>good thermal and acoustic insulation<\/strong> and, as they are not flammable, a <strong>good protection against fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is sold in two fundamental types: fiberglass and rock wool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fiberglass<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Material made up of an infinite number of small glass filaments that are obtained from a molten mixture of siliceous sand, additives and recycled glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is marketed in different forms, depending on its use, being the <strong>Flexible panels or \u201cblankets\u201d are the most used in the insulation of enclosures. <\/strong>These panels are made by agglomerating glass fibers with resins.
