Investments in energy efficiency already represent the <strong>9% of Europe&#039;s GDP<\/strong> and generate <strong>18 million direct jobs<\/strong>. In this way, one of the objectives set by the European Commission is being achieved, which is very clear that the <strong>energy independence<\/strong> of the entire Union is essential to achieve a competitive and productive economy, capable of continuing to lead industrial markets and R&amp;D projects around the world.<\/p>\n<p>If we assume that the 90% on EU roofs are not used for energy purposes and that the CO2 emissions reduction targets are unavoidable, the growth of the energy sector in general and the solar sector in particular, <strong>won&#039;t stop growing<\/strong> during the present decade.<\/p>\n<p>On July 6, the European Parliament&#039;s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy approved the report &quot;Maximizing energy efficiency in buildings&quot; which supports the d<strong>massive and unprecedented deployment of new solar roofs<\/strong> throughout the European Union.
